Potential Jail-Time for having trees

Stand with me against this unfair treatment! After yesterday’s pre-trial hearing, I have two choices:

  1. Agree to cut my trees down to 42″ in the front and 6 feet in the back to have the case dismissed.
  2. Go to trial, fight for my rights, and risk fines along with 6-12 months of jail time.

The City prosecutor refuses to tell us the least invasive way to comply with the law. They will not tell us what the definition of a hedge is, how far apart trees need to be, and only evidence related to my property is admissible. It’s outrageous to think that out of hundreds of properties in Redondo Beach that have trees and hedges, I am the only one being singled-out and targeted.

If you have trees and hedges,
you could be next.

I need your support to fight this injustice. People should not be jailed for planting trees. Let’s take a stand together!

Trees are a
threat to our society
(extreme sarcasm implied)

These laws need to be changed and updated to prevent this from ever happening to others.
